Martine Workman's website
Born in Cumberland, MD, I grew up in the Midwest and moved to the west coast nine years ago. I studied at the University of Iowa, and then at the California College of the Arts where I received my BFA in graphic design in 2004. I’ve been making zines and artist books since 1998, selling my books at small press events and comic book fairs. My recent drawings are inspired by Christian and Islamic illuminated manuscripts, the foliage of the Pacific Northwest, and pop music.
